FEP(Fluorinated ethylene propylene) trade name as Teflon ® ,also known as F46
Introduction of materials:
1. Chemical structure:
Modified material of PTFE,based on tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene copolymerization, hexafluoropropylene content is about 14~ 25% (mass fraction).
The main chain of F46 macromolecule has branches and side chains, although both F46 resin and PTFE are composed of carbon and fluorine elements, the carbon chain is completely surrounded by fluorine atoms.
2. Key properties:
- Not only has similar characteristics with PTFE, but also has good processing performance of thermoplastic plastic, which makes up for the shortage of difficult processing of PTFE.
- Not only has good chemical corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, weather resistance, radiation resistance, but also has piezoelectric, dielectric, thermoelectric and other special properties, the second largest product excellent mechanical properties in the fluorine plastic production.
- In the chemical structure, fluorocarbon bonds, which have the properties of short bonds, form the most stable and firm bonds with hydrogen ions. Therefore, fluorocarbon coating has specific physical and chemical properties, not only has a strong wear resistance and impact resistance, but also in the extreme harsh and harsh environment has a very high fade resistance and UV resistance.
- Extensive operating temperature range from -65 °C to +205 °C
